1. Scope
DataJewellers means Data Doodles Tech Private Limited, the operator of the DataJewellers service ("we", "us"). This policy explains cancellations and refunds for a DataJewellers subscription. It is read together with the Subscription & Billing Terms and the Terms & Conditions, and is consistent with them; where a signed order or subscription agreement covers a point, that agreement governs.
2. Nothing is charged without an invoice
We operate no online payment processor and hold no card details, so nothing can be charged automatically. Every payment is one you make against an invoice we have issued under your order or subscription agreement. A business that decides not to subscribe, or not to renew, owes nothing beyond what has already been invoiced; the workspace becomes read-only and your records stay exportable.
3. When a refund is available
Where you have already paid:
- Prepaid, unused periods. If you cancel part-way through a period you have paid for, a refund of the unused part is available only where your order or subscription agreement says so, on the terms stated there. Read your agreement, or ask us at support@datadoodlestech.com and we will tell you exactly what it provides.
- Amounts invoiced in error. If we invoiced you for something you did not order, for the wrong period, or at the wrong price, we correct it — by a credit note against a future invoice or a refund of what you overpaid, whichever you prefer.
- Service we could not provide. If we cannot provide the service you paid for and the cause is ours, we will refund the affected part of the period.
We do not refund a period already used, a change of mind after use, or software a business kept available but chose not to use.
4. Your statutory rights are not reduced
Nothing in this policy takes away rights you have by law.
- The Consumer Protection Act, 2075 (2018) defines a consumer as a person or institution that uses goods or services, and expressly counts information technology as a service — so it can apply to a business buying software. It gives rights to accurate information about what you are buying, to a bill for what you pay, and to compensation for harm proved under the Act, and provides forums for complaints.
- The Electronic Commerce Act, 2081 (2025), where it applies to a sale like this one, requires clear disclosure of price, cancellation and return terms before purchase, an invoice on payment, and a grievance route.
Whether and how each Act applies to a particular sale is a question of law, and we do not attempt to decide it here or contract around it. If a statutory remedy gives you more than this policy does, the statutory remedy applies; complaint routes are listed on the Legal & Compliance Contact page.
5. How to cancel
- Write to support@datadoodlestech.com from an email address we hold for your business, saying you want to cancel and from when. An owner or administrator should send or confirm it.
- We confirm the cancellation, the date it takes effect, and anything still outstanding.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, unless you ask for it sooner.
- Export your records — CSV, Excel or PDF from the screens, and a JSON export per entity from Settings → Legal & Privacy — before the workspace is closed.
- After the effective date the workspace becomes read-only. Nothing is deleted; records stay visible and exportable. If the workspace is later archived, it is scheduled for purge 90 days later, and the purge is a deliberate manual act by an operator. See the Data Retention & Deletion Policy.
6. How to ask for a refund
Write to support@datadoodlestech.com with:
- the invoice number and the amount;
- what you are asking for and why;
- the bank details the refund should be paid to, if we agree one is due.
Our commitment: we will acknowledge your request within 5 business days, tell you what we need from you, and give you a decision with reasons. Where a refund is due we pay it by bank transfer to the account you give us, and we issue a credit note for our own records. Because we hold no card details, we cannot reverse a card payment — every refund is a transfer we make deliberately.
If you disagree with our decision, write to support@datadoodlestech.com and we will look at it again in good faith. Nothing here prevents you from using the statutory routes in section 4.
7. Changes
We publish changes with a new version number and effective date; older versions stay readable at /legal/refunds/v/<version>. A change never removes a refund right that had already accrued to you under your agreement.
